BCCI Announces Schedule for Second Phase of TATA IPL 2026.

                    The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the schedule for the second phase of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
            The remainder of the league stage, comprising 50 matches, will be played from April 13 to May 24, 2026, across 12 venues in India. Matches in the second phase will be held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamshala, Raipur, and New Chandigarh.


As the tournament enters a crucial phase, teams will compete across these venues for a place in the playoffs. The race is expected to intensify through the latter half of the league stage, with every point mattering as sides jostle for playoff qualification.

The action resumes on April 13, 2026, with Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. This high-scoring venue promises an explosive start to the second phase.


Fans can look forward to an exciting phase of the tournament as teams battle for positions in the lead-up to the final weeks of the league stage. High-stakes derbies, including the MI vs CSK “El Clasico” (first leg on April 23 in Mumbai, return on May 2 in Chennai), will add extra spice.

The second phase will feature eight double-headers. Afternoon matches start at 03:30 PM IST, while evening matches commence at 07:30 PM IST. This format allows fans to enjoy back-to-back action on select days, maximizing entertainment while fitting the tight timeline.

Key home venue arrangements for the second phase:
Punjab Kings will play their home matches split between New Chandigarh (Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium) and Dharamshala (HPCA Stadium), including three matches in the scenic Dharamshala venue during this phase.

Rajasthan Royals will host four home games in Jaipur at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play three home matches in Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and two in Raipur at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium.

April 25 (Sat, Double-header): Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings (3:30 PM, Delhi) & Rajasthan Royals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (7:30 PM, Jaipur)
May 2 (Sat): Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians, Chennai – 7:30 PM IST
