A prominent session explored AI for Road Safety: Data-Driven Solutions for Enhancing Road Safety in India. Experts from the Ministry of Transport, IITs, and industry discussed crash pattern analysis, risk prediction, proactive interventions, scalable applications for safer mobility, driver training, and hyperlocal data models. This aligns with India's push for technology-led public good in reducing road accidents.

Another key leadership session examined harnessing AI for the future of learning and work. It delved into AI's reshaping of global employment, redefining future skills, job creation versus redundancy, and large-scale reskilling needs. Industry leaders stressed upskilling as essential, with AI viewed as both threat and opportunity.

A transformative discussion focused on Harnessing AI to Transform India's Judicial Ecosystem. Experts explored AI's potential to boost efficiency, transparency, and accessibility through predictive analytics, automated case management, legal research, virtual courts, faster dispute resolution, backlog reduction, and improved justice access.

Culturally Grounded AI and Social Norms addressed how AI systems often fail in diverse contexts by ignoring social norms, emphasizing ethical, context-aware deployment.

The Future of Employability in the Age of AI tackled workforce shifts, new opportunities, redundancies, and reskilling imperatives.

A dedicated session on AI for Smart and Resilient Agriculture: From Research to Solutions brought perspectives on sustainable, efficient, climate-resilient farming, optimizing resources for small producers and disaster management.

These Day 1 discussions set a practical, impact-oriented tone, prioritizing public systems, sovereign infrastructure, responsible governance, and workforce transformation.

Broader Summit Structure and Global Significance

The summit spans five days with over 500 sessions featuring more than 3,250 speakers. While February 16-18 include flagship finales, expo showcases, and research symposiums, February 19 features the formal opening by PM Modi, leaders' plenary, and CEO roundtables. February 20 concludes with the Global Partnership on AI council meeting.
