UPDATE 11.42 pm IST (6.12 pm GMT) - We were supposed to have an inspection a while ago, but well the rain gods show us no mercy. As the umpire were set to come out for an inspection, the rain started to come down quite heavily, and the officials were forced to head back under shed. For now, it is pouring, and the covers have been placed yet again across the field. The wait game continues here in Trinidad.

Well even though we have a halt here, it does not mean there is not cricket to follow. Remember, a cricket festival is currently ongoing in England, in the form of Men's Hundred. Match number 20 will see Trent Rockets going up against London Spirit, they are placed 5th and 7th respectively in the points table. A win here is crucial for both the teams here, but Trent Rockets already won the mini-battle with the toss going in their favour. They have opted to bat first, but unfortunately London Spirit were able to get the early breakthrough. The drama has just begun. UPDATE 11.05 pm (5.35 pm GMT) - The rain has stopped now by the looks off it, and there is some movement of the ground as well, with the square covers being taken off. The groundstaff are working really hard here, and this is a good sign, with the inspection around the corner. Finally, there is a ray of hope, but it will be better if the sun rays sneak through the dark clouds and make it is a pleasant sight, rather than ominous. Stick around for further updates.

The rain gods decided to reappear, and hang out a little more. The outfield has certainly gotten wet here. The covers remain intact, and we are in for another delay here. For West Indies, Kemar Roach's return and disciplined bowling have been significant positives. Jayden Seales has also maintained tight lines, but spinner Gudakesh Motie has yet to find any assistance from the pitch. Jason Holder striking with his first ball will give West Indies hope that the pitch is still conducive for bowlers, provided they maintain tight lines, something they have marginally failed to do so far. With rain still persistent, the early lunch break might extend a bit longer.
